A few months ago, for a joke, I set up a Facebook group called ‘Climate change denial is a mental disorder’. It’s a satirical campaigning hub for people who think that climate change denial should be recognised as a mental illness by the American Psychiatric Association, and that its sufferers – who probably engage in ‘regular chanting and intensive brainwashing sessions in cult-like surroundings’ – should be offered ‘eco-lobotomies’ to remove ‘the denying part of their brain’. The group now has 42 members. Yes, some have signed up because they get the joke, but others are serious subscribers to the denial-as-insanity idea. ‘Thank God I’ve found this group’, says one new member, who is sick of other Facebook groups being ‘hijacked’ by unhinged eco-sceptics.
The idea that ‘climate change denial’ is a psychological disorder – the product of a spiteful, wilful or simply in-built neural inability to face up to the catastrophe of global warming – is becoming more and more popular amongst green-leaning activists and academics. And nothing better sums up the elitism and authoritarianism of the environmentalist lobby than its psychologisation of dissent. The labelling of any criticism of the politics of global warming, first as ‘denial’, and now as evidence of mass psychological instability, is an attempt to write off all critics and sceptics as deranged, and to lay the ground for inevitable authoritarian solutions to the problem of climate change. Historically, only the most illiberal and misanthropic regimes have treated disagreement and debate as signs of mental ill-health.
This weekend, the University of West England is hosting a major conference on climate change denial. Strikingly, it’s being organised by the university’s Centre for Psycho-Social Studies. It will be a gathering of those from the top of society – ‘psychotherapists, social researchers, climate change activists, eco-psychologists’ – who will analyse those at the bottom of society, as if we were so many flitting, irrational amoeba under an eco-microscope. The organisers say the conference will explore how ‘denial’ is a product of both ‘addiction and consumption’ and is the ‘consequence of living in a perverse culture which encourages collusion, complacency and irresponsibility’ (1). It is a testament to the dumbed-down, debate-phobic nature of the modern academy that a conference is being held not to explore ideas – to interrogate, analyse and fight over them – but to tag them as perverse.
We’ve been subjected to this mind control for so long that we find it hard to imagine what life might be without it. Everything that torments us comes out of the lies being broadcast across the airwaves we move through. They slip through the earphones inside the music that they allow us to hear. They travel inside the words of the people speaking out of your television and radio. They move inside the words on the newspaper and then open up inside your head and create for you the understanding that they want you to have.
We’re told that certain people are our enemies but our real enemies are the people telling us this. We’re told that certain things are bad for us but these things aren’t even as bad as the things they tell us we can have and which they make and sell to us so that we can hear the lies better and to put us in the mood to agree with the lies which cause us to injure ourselves and each other. The people who tell us these lies all went to school together and they learned to speak a certain language so that they can say things to each other that we won’t understand. While they were in their special schools they had their humanity removed so that they could do things that no human being would even consider because they have no conscience to inhibit their behavior. They have been compared to reptiles because that is the part of the brain that they act out of.
The current financial crisis, like 9-11, did not just fall out of the sky. Rather, both 9-11 and the financial melt-down are the results of decades of planning and preparation. President Clinton’s denial of responsibility for the current economic crisis notwithstanding, it was his administration, indeed, his special adviser, the Israeli son-of-a-terrorist Rahm Emanuel, who took credit for single-handedly pushing the economically treasonous NAFTA bill through Congress. That a president from the pro-labor Democrat party would support a bill designed to destroy the jobs of millions of working Americans as it devastated the U.S. manufacturing sector is something that the mainstream media has never addressed.
What Americans are reaping in 2009 are the real economic consequences of that “giant sucking sound” that the anti-NAFTA candidate Ross Perot warned of during the presidential debates of 1992. Seventeen years later, however, no one is laughing about Perot’s phrase that he used to describe what NAFTA and other free trade agreements would do to the American economy.

‘Anti-Semitism has become such a problem that the Foreign Office welcomed nearly 100 legislators from 35 countries to a conference this week aimed at tackling the issue.The inaugural conference of the Inter-parliamentary Coalition for Combating Anti-Semitism (ICCA) is the first of its kind to receive such prominent Government support.
The two-day summit was held in the Houses of Parliament and at Lancaster House. The Foreign Secretary, David Miliband, said: “Anti-Semitism has been with us for millennia, but has mutated in form and expression through the ages. Today it has adapted to new technologies and has no defined borders”.’

The TUC has passed a motion against the card; airline pilots, many of whom say they would rather lose their job than be forced to carry a card as an “airside worker” are taking legal action; Worcestershire county council has announced that it will oppose the scheme wherever it is lawful; and most devastatingly the Scottish government has called for the cancellation of the scheme.
“In the midst of a deep recession, with more job losses announced nearly every day, it simply beggars belief that the UK government is pressing ahead with its costly National Identity Scheme,” said Fergus Ewing the Scottish minister for community safety.

You are, I’m sure, already aware that your charity is controversial to a growing number of people. Now, it may be that you are not bothered by this and that you have been reassured by internal memos sent out by Julia Middleton and her central team, but I feel I must warn you that the Charity’s inability to defend itself publicly when asked to do so by a TV channel, who very recently allowed air time to Brian Gerrish, one of your main detractors, is strange to say the least and not what you would expect from a respectable charity. Please watch this http://www.tpuc.org/node/538 and see for yourself the severe allegations being made against the organisation you work for.
As you will see from the emails below, I have attempted to persuade the Charity to accept their ‘Right of Reply’ made by the presenter of the programme. To date, I have had no reply. If Common Purpose has absolutely nothing to hide, then it should readily and enthusiastically accept this offer to restore the Charity’s good name. It would be even better if Julia Middleton had the courage to debate live with Brian Gerrish and so sort out these allegations properly.

As you can see from the message below, I contacted you back in June of last year about the attacks on Common Purpose and how astounded I was that this ‘charity’ that you work for was refusing to clear its name in the courts as any proper charity would. Last week I saw on the Edge Media TV Channel an interview with Brian Gerrish who put forward a compelling and convincing case that your charity is, without doubt, taking part in treasonous and criminal activities (http://www.tpuc.org/node/538). The presenter of the programme, Theo Chalmers, offered repeatedly a ‘right of reply’ to Common Purpose to defend itself at a future date. I earnestly hope that you will take up this offer…..ideally you should agree to a live debate with Brian Gerrish so that we can sort out once and for all if there is any substance to Mr Gerrish’s allegations. Failure by yourselves to take up this offer, which would cost the charity very little if anyth ing financially, will make ordinary decent people believe you have something to hide and will leave you open to actions under Common Law to bring Common Purpose to justice.

Common Purpose’s reputation is being attacked by a small number of persistent people, who are making a number of untrue claims about our organisation, which range from Common Purpose grooming children for sex to being a pro-EU criminal organisation working to secretly abolish the UK state. You will have noticed that some of the criticism also comes from organisations like the British National Party. There is no doubt that these claims are defamatory.
We take the protection of our reputation very seriously and continually seek advice about how to handle, and review our strategy for dealing with, these untrue claims. Sadly the internet today is the perfect medium for all sorts of conspiracy theories. Common Purpose is very happy to discuss the work we do, and respect anyone’s right not to agree with or support it, but it is important to us that the facts are correct. As such, we took the steps to create a website to communicate the facts and to correct the untruths about the organisation. Setting up a website is actually a fairly comm on response. We trust that people will read the claims and make their own informed decision about the m otivation of those people who have written them. From reading the www.commonpurpose.net site you will understand we are small/medium sized educational charity and our funding structure is different to the large fundraising charities like Macmillan. Your Charity is clearly under attack on a very large scale if you have had to publish a section ”Is it true that Common Purpose…..” here on www.commonpurpose.net (Tim, please scroll down to the bottom to find it). I know of no other charity that has had to resort to such measures.
Back in 1999, I worked for Macmillan Cancer Relief as a fundraiser. During an internal ’teach-in’ day for the Charity in Manchester, I remember talking to Nick Young, the Charity’s then Chief-Executive (now Sir Nicholas Young, CEO of the British Red Cross) and during our chat I remember asking him what would Macmillan do if somebody criticised the Charity to the point that it damaged the Charity’s good name and the ability of the Charity to fundraise effectively. He said, without any hesitation whatsoever, that Macmillan would first make sure it was not at fault; then it would try and reason with the source of criticism; and, if that failed, would then resort to legal action to protect the Charity’s good name and reputation.
I have to say that I am astounded that you have not attempted to silence, through legal action, your critics. If you are a bona fide charity, as you claim to be, with absolutely nothing to hide, then you would have taken your critics to court by now for slander and libel. Common Purpose’s excuse for not doing so, which I read in a copy of a letter you wrote recently to one of your clients, was that you didn’t want to give th e ‘oxygen&nb sp;of publicity’ to your critics. This is pathetic. If you are being maliciously targeted, then you are duty bound to seek legal redress to restore your good name - this is what is expected of any decent charity with absolutely nothing to hide. One gets the feeling that you would not like your critics to have their day in court under oath.

For many (or some) of us that were subject to intensive Holocaust conditioning as kids in American public schools, we saw films of hundreds and thousands of piled bodies from old WWII footage a few times a year - year in, year out. We were told they were Jews that had been murdered, gassed mostly, by the Nazis. I recall seeing my first one of these films in the early 1970’s when I was about nine or ten years old.
It went on for my entire education in the Boston area and then in high school in Columbia, Md. when my family had moved. In 1978 when the NBC television miniseries “Holocaust” was required watching for my social studies class, it seemed perfectly natural that we were expected to sit through four nights of television that even Elie Wiesel called “untrue, offensive, cheap.”
As a kid, I always felt a little sledgehammered after being subjected to those movies in the darkened classroom, surrounded by my fellow students with the teacher sitting in the back to keep an eye on us to make sure we didn’t fool around or otherwise be distracted from the Important Information that was being injected into our still-forming minds. Dark rooms under veil of authority are very conducive to making certain that attention is given to what’s to be taken in.
What was being funneled into our brains was a steady diet of grainy black and white movies of Jews being herded through towns like cattle, bodies being bulldozed into pits, mass trench shootings, prisoners that looked like the walking dead, emaciated corpses piled like firewood. If you had a similar experience in school, you know of what I speak. Then there was usually some kind of after-lesson given by the teacher when we were at our most traumatized. Bad Nazis. Nice teacher.
And we all took it in, without question. Six million Jews died in gas chambers, were made into soap, burned in ovens. Four million Jews died in Auschwitz. Nazis made lampshades out of Jewish skin. Gas chambers in Germany. And thus was the core of my childhood education of the Holocaust. I never questioned what I’d been taught. I had no reason to. Leaving any idea of academia behind in 1980 when high school was over, I went along with my merry little life and to be honest, I didn’t think much about the Holocaust again.
A lead researcher who spent 20 years developing the vaccine for humanpapilloma virus says the HPV vaccine is not for younger girls, and that it is “silly” for states to be mandating it for them.
Not only that, she says it’s not been tested for effectiveness in younger girls, and administering the vaccine to girls as young as 9 may not even protect them at all. And, in the worst-case scenario, instead of serving to reduce the numbers of cervical cancers within 25 years, such a vaccination crusade actually could cause the numbers to go up.
“Giving it to 11-year-olds is a great big public health experiment,” said Diane M. Harper, who is a scientist, physician, professor and the director of the Gynecologic Cancer Prevention Research Group at the Norris Cotton Cancer Center at Dartmouth Medical School in New Hampshire.
“It is silly to mandate vaccination of 11- to 12-year-old girls There also is not enough evidence gathered on side effects to know that safety is not an issue.”
Internationally recognized as a pioneer in the field, Harper has been studying HPV and a possible vaccine for several of the more than 100 strains of HPV for 20 years - most of her adult life.
Dr. Thomas Rau, Medical Director of the world renowned Paracelsus Clinic in Lustmühle, Switzerland says he is convinced ‘electromagnetic loads’ lead to cancer, concentration problems, ADD, tinnitus, migraines, insomnia, arrhythmia, Parkinson’s and even back pain. At Paracelsus (www.paracelsus.ch), cancer patients are now routinely educated in electromagnetic field remediation strategies and inspectors from the Geopathological Institute of Switzerland are sent to patients’ homes to assess electromagnetic field exposures.
Of note, Dr. Rau says a strategy to consider for those experiencing ‘electrical sensitivity’ symptoms is to remove the electromagnetic ‘hot spot’ in the head created by the presence of metal fillings. Concern is thus not only for the ‘neurotoxic’ aspect of mercury in fillings, an increasingly understood hazard, but because fillings themselves act as antennas in the presence of electromagnetic fields from cell phones and cell towers, wi-fi networks, portable phones, and other sources of radiofrequency radiation.
Rau says the removal of dental fillings can be an important early step in reducing electrical sensitivity, allowing some people to live in homes they otherwise could not tolerate.
Cultures have shown beneficial bacteria grows more slowly in the presence of electromagnetic fields, says Rau, allowing pathological organisms to dominate. Thus, a strategy with electrically sensitive patients, or with those facing chronic conditions, is the aggressive supplementation with probiotics and other Biological Medicine approaches to balance intestinal flora. Many people with chronic infections likely linked to EMF exposures, such as Lyme Disease, are symptom- free after an aggressive microorganism rebalancing program.
Electrical sensitivity—originally known as radio wave sickness—is a sometimes debilitating experience created by these and other disregulating effects of electromagnetic fields. Linked to many acute and chronic illness conditions, electrical sensitivity is a serious emerging public health issue globally and a subject in which most doctors have no training.
A Petition to Congress, created by www.ElectromagneticHealth.org is now circulating on the internet, requesting Congress 1) mandate the FCC lower exposure guidelines to reflect the large body of science showing biological effects at exposures much lower than current standards, 2) repeal Section 704 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996, which rescinded state and local governments right to resist towers on health or environmental grounds, 3) stop the roll out of the Wi-Max network until Congress better understands the potential health consequences, and 4) accommodate citizens unable to function adequately in high EMF environments, including forbidding cell towers on school properties.
Exposing children in schools to radiation, known to impair brain function and learning, Rau describes as “criminal”. He says, “It is unethical to expose children to electromagnetic load in this way. We know that power stations for electromagnetic waves like mobile phones are hurting the brains of children, so to put such stations into schools is really…very, very, very bad. Rau says, the question is, “Does the school, or does the society, really want to have intelligent, well-educated children, or not?” He says, “If you install mobile phone towers, which radiate to the children, their intelligence, their brain capacity, decreases. You will have more ADD children, you will have less function of the brain, which in the long term reflects on the intelligence of the children, of the possibility to really teach children, and in the long term, the more this overcomes society, the more we will have dumb children.”
The reality of the health consequences of electromagnetic radiation eventually will have to be faced, and this will only happen with active pressure on Congress. It is estimated that 3-8% of populations in developed countries experience serious electrohypersensitivity symptoms today, and 35% experience mild symptoms. With increasing electromagnetic field exposures, these numbers, along with the suffering involved for people who are impacted, and the health care costs involved, are bound to go up.

A United Nations human rights treaty that could prohibit children from being spanked or homeschooled, ban youngsters from facing the death penalty and forbid parents from deciding their families’ religion is on America’s doorstep, a legal expert warns.
“It’s definitely on our doorstep,” he said. “The left wants to make the Obama-Clinton era permanent. Treaties are a way to make it as permanent as stuff gets. It is very difficult to extract yourself from a treaty once you begin it. If they can put all of their left-wing socialist policies into treaty form, we’re stuck with it even if they lose the next election.”
The 1990s-era document was ratified quickly by 193 nations worldwide, but not the United States or Somalia. In Somalia, there was then no recognized government to do the formal recognition, and in the United States there’s been opposition to its power. Countries that ratify the treaty are bound to it by international law.

Children would have the right to reproductive health information and services, including abortions, without parental knowledge or consent.

At the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington Thursday, Tony Blair confessed he didn’t talk about God while in office so he wouldn’t be considered a “nutter.”
But now the convert to Roman Catholicism can declare that religious faith is at the heart of global affairs. In a “sermon” Thursday, he mentioned God 31 times and proclaimed: “In surrendering to God we become instruments of his love.”
President Obama endorsed the charade: “My good friend Tony Blair - who did it first and perhaps did it better.”
Obviously Blair’s role is to usurp Christian leadership and expose religious belief to ridicule. Along with another phony, George W. Bush, Blair caused the death and maiming of an estimated one million Iraqi civilians. They’re sociopaths, not Christians.
The public is not deceived. One reader commented: “Since he has so much blood on his hands, he thinks by turning to religion all will be forgiven. Sad fool.”
But the ruse does work. Another reader commented: “When I hear that this man is a Christian, it makes me proud to be an atheist.”
Blair is a UN Middle East Peace Envoy. This is what the “instrument of God’s love” had to say about Israel’s massacre of women and children in Gaza: “What has happened has been very shocking and very sad - the scenes of carnage - but that is war, I’m afraid, and war is horrible.”

“That was clearly bollocks,” said his lordship, who warned of the perceived “linkage between the US, Israel and the UK” in the horrors inflicted on Gaza and the effect on the recruitment of terrorists in Britain. In other words, he was stating the obvious: that state terrorism begets individual or group terrorism at source.
Just as Blair was the prime mover of the London bombings of 7 July 2005, so Brown, having pursued the same cynical crusades in Muslim countries and having armed and disported himself before the criminal regime in Tel Aviv, will share responsibility for related atrocities at home.
